The View - The Care and Feeding of Vintage Clothing
†
Vintage garments need particular care. How you handle them and store them can dramatically extend their life. Or destroy them. When building a collection, challenges include evaluating the condition of a garment and if it is authentic to it's time period or is a later reproduction.
This workshop will cover the basics of selecting garments, handling them, and storing them. The techniques demonstrated are also appropriate for fragile modern garments, including costumes.
Attendees will handle actual antique garments (using gloves provided).
Space is limited to 9 attendees.
